Just moved into an apartment in a building that was built over a hundred years ago. There is a naked lightbulb in the hallway as you walk in the front door and I would like to make it look better somehow.
Is replacing the light fixture with a better looking alternative realistic for someone with no experience with electrical? Also, how difficult would this specific fixture be?
I was looking for a simple shade that simply clamps onto and hides the bulb but they were all ugly.
