How would YOU sink fence posts?
Getting ready to build my first fence. I see a million options for how to set the posts, from concrete to gravel to the weird sika foam, to in-ground metal stakes, to pier blocks with brackets.
The fence is for a small dog, so it doesn't need to withstand serious drama and will only be about 4 ft tall.
I just can't decide on how to set the posts.

I want to go to "space"
In this project I would like to send a weather balloon to space with a 3d rocket attached to it, while it's up there I would like to get a readout of tempature, g force of the fall back to earth, and altitude. Started off with cutting some Madagascar Rosewood logs. Few mins later, i can honestly confirm the scientific name, Dalbergia Baronii (Palisander) and then the "wood gods" decided to shine upon me! Bois de Rose aka Dalbergia Maritima. Never knew velvet red chainsaw shavings can get me so excited!

Can anyone suggest a front door closing mechanism?
I've looked into a spring loaded hinge like this, but it seems like its for inside doors only.
I've also looked into hydraulic door closers like this, but its a little too intrusive on the door frame and will make opening the door harder.
The reason for this is because I'm part of a university club working on a project to help open and close a door for a patient with a wheelchair who can't use her arms to push or pull a door, but we also don't have the money for a full on handicap door system.
Right now, we're in the process of first figuring out how to close the front door first as that's the more important part, and then figure out a method to opening the door (we thought of using a pulley and string system that will open with a button through a garage door opener receiver)
Any help would be appreciated

Sound Responsive Lights
So I am a music teacher and at some point I saw these lights that respond to sound and I thought it would be a pretty cool tool to use in my classroom that the kids would really like. What I want it to be able to clap a rhythm and have the lights flash to the rhythm. However, I have no idea how to make these lights, or if there is an affordable place to buy something pre made. I have strings of lights, and speakers and microphones if that helps? Any advice for how to set this kinda thing up would be very appreciated!

Vanity install question
I'd like to install a bathroom vanity between 2 walls. However the width along back wall (back wall is a 3rd wall in this case) is 29.5" between the 2 side walls versus 30" width to the front. Is a 30" vanity still ideal?

[HELP] Trying to set up propane at the new place. New suggestions and help for setting up a kitchen blow torch and possibly a regulator. Read for details.
Just got my pipes put in today. I have a 100lb propane tank. I have a black iron pipe capped after a shut off valve in my kitchen for a blow torch.
The torch:
What kind of flexible pipe should I get and is there something available that allows me to easily affix a blow torch and what kind of torch?
The regulator:
I currently have one take, but I plan on getting another. Is there a regulator that auto switches when the pressure is too low in a tank?

Seeking opinions or reviews on mini vacuums for use with palm sander
Does anyone have an opinion on one of these mini vacuums? I need paint all baseboard and window trim in our house, including some sanding (modern construction, lead is not a concern), and I thought a mini vacuum would be easier to deal with than a hulking shop vac. I'm not already committed to a certain battery platform. Just curious if owners are happy with their mini vacuum.
