DIY Drink Dispenser Stand / Holder

Building the Drink Dispenser Stand and Carrier

This drink dispenser stand was super easy to build!  First, I cut all my boards using a compound miter saw - but you could also use a circular saw or jigsaw for cuts.

Cutting the Handles

Since this drink dispenser stand flips to become a carrier for the drink dispensers, I wanted handles to help hold it.  You could use hardware pulls as well.  Here's how I cut my handles out:

I first drilled two holes with a spade bit.  Then I connected the two holes together with jigsaw cuts.

Building the Drink Dispenser Crate

Once the handles were cut, I can start building.  I used brad nails to build - you can also use screws or staples - all work great, just a matter of tool availability and fastener preference.  GLUE is essential if using nails or staples.

I built two sides identical, with the 1x2 attach on the inside.  The 1x2 also works as a support for heavy drinks.

Then I attached the 1x2 for the bottom frame - this is all detailed in the plans below.

With the two sides done, I can now add the front and back pieces - it's starting to take shape!

The bottom pieces fit inside and attach to the 1x2s.  Also nail from the outsides.

Here's How We Built this Welly Boot Rack

First, cut the boards using a compound miter saw or circular saw, following the cut list.

Cut the longest cuts first, to maximize material use.

Then, mark location of holes to drill on the longer 2x3 boards.  Drill a pilot hole all the way through at the marks.

Then, using a 7/8" spade bit, drill halfway through the same pilot hole.  TIP: Tape the drill bit to guide the depth of hole you are drilling.

welly boot rack glue

Apply glue to bottom of the dowels.

welly boot rack screw dowels in place

Place dowels in the holes and screw from bottom through the predrilled pilot hole to secure.

Wood Vertical Bike Rack

Store your bike inside in style, while protecting your walls - this vertical bike rack is easy to build and stores your helmet too.

Hangs direct to studs in the wall - so it's easy to mount the vertical bike rack on your wall.

What color are you staining yours?

Alternative Design Options

You can modify this design to create your best vertical bike rack!

vertical bike rack options

  • Use a bike hardware hook at the top - these cost about $5, here's one from Home Depot.
  • The bottom channel isn't essential - you could make this without the bottom piece for a more streamlined look
  • No miter saw?  The angled pieces could be cut straight.
  • The dimensions are easy to modify for a perfect fit
