Replacing a window pane for the first time and looking for pointers.

The corner pane in a family member's window was recently broken and I'm replacing it tomorrow. Here's a look at it's current state. The broken glass is all out, the grooves were cleaned, and I have the new glass ready to go (measured, cut, etc). I'm going to work with a putty knife, as well as some glazier's points and window glazing material.

I'm cautious about pressing on to begin with since I've never done this before, but I'm mostly curious if this job can be done from inside at all. There is a hedgerow of bushes directly outside that won't give me much room out there, and the prospect of mixing with spiders and whatever other critters lurk there also has me dreading the whole thing. Is there any hope of avoiding that?

Thanks in advance for your help.
