RGB LED room

Okay, so I have been looking everywhere for know how on LED Strips for my room. I have come across many different kinds of LED strips ranging from cheap $10 to $150 for 16ft. Both claim to be great but why is their no middle ground?

I'm looking for some bright mood rgb LED strips without breaking the bank. I tried ordering some from AliExpress and they were dim but usable to a degree. Found some 5050LED that 30 led a meter but was still wanting brighter. Gah, the struggle for bright rgb leds.

So now I'm thinking should I try and get a higher density like 60led a meter or something like that? What do you guys think.i should do?
