I tried searching as this seems fairly simple and common, but just found a tonne of posts about painting over wallpaper when I guess I am talking about painting under wallpaper.
The situation is a newly constructed powder room. Standard 4 wall box with a door on one wall. The whole room has had 2 coats of undercoat applied. 2 walls will be painted to match other parts of the house and 2 walls will have wallpaper applied.
My question is - where I am cutting in on the corner of the walls where wallpaper and paint will meet - how careful do I have to be with my cutting in?
Do I have to be neat and careful to prevent paint going on to the wall which will later be wallpapered or does it not matter because the wallpaper will cover any paint completely in which case I can be as reckless as I want?
Not sure if it matters, but the paint is a 'latte' type colour and the wallpaper is a textured but white wallpaper and I will getting the wallpaper done by someone who knows what they're doing.
