Trying to determine rough opening width

I have a window in a finished basement, and im trying to determine the rough opening size. Its recessed and therefore difficult to measure from the inside, but the measurement from inside brick to inside brick on the outside of the basement is 32".

Is it safe to assume the rough framing for the window behind the drywall is 32"?
