We planned on replacing the counter tops in our kitchen at the same time as getting a counter top for a vanity in the kids bathroom in our house. Our plan was to replace the countertop and sink and paint the existing cabinets....ended up doing a bit more.

Countertops: $2950
Sink and plumbing : $400
Backsplash : Included with countertop
Lumber: $800
Hardware: $200
Lighting: $250
Paint: $300
Cabinet Inserts (spice rack and trash): $400
Appliances: Range $950, Dishwasher $400
All in ~$7,000 with all the other misc items.
