My LED strip is a bit too bright sometimes. Could I simply wire in a resistor to dim it?

It’s a 24V led strip that I’ve calculated to use about 30W of power.

I would prefer to use it in a three-way switch, with off, dim, and bright being the options.

I apologize if I’m way off with my hopes. Appreciate the help.
