Looking at doing a door desk, and wanted someone who knows more about furniture building than I do to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I'll keep things as simple as I can.

  • Door blank I'm looking as using as the top.

  • Legs I'm planning on mounting these about 8" in from the edges

  • Support leg to go in the back middle to help with sag.

  • Load: ~60lbs cpu tower placed directly over leg. Rest of the stuff spread out over the other 6' of desk is around 40lbs. Might look to mount monitors to arms in the back middle of desk

I have 2 questions:

  • Is the support leg in the back enough to battle sag on this? Per The Sagulator I seem to be in the clear.

  • What kind of bolts/screws should I use to attach the legs?

I think I've included all the info I have, but I'll be quick to respond if I've left something out.
