Installing a paver seating area, do I need to contain it in some sort of border?

I'm planning to level out and install a paver stone seating area in an area that is right now pretty open. The ground is relatively soft in that area and there is not a lot of natural barrier, especially on the one side. What kind of border, if any, would need to be placed so that my pavers don't just shift after placement?Area in question
