Hello DIYers
I recently remodeled my kitchen. The last step is my backsplash. My wife picked out some fancy tiles from a local hardware store. They are 1ft by 1 ft squares with a mesh backing and the biggest tile is about 2”x2”. They tiles are made of aluminum. Ive bought some simplemat from Home Depot. I’m kind of scared to use it reading mixed reviews online. My question is should I just use thinset instead? I feel like maybe the bad reviews on the simplemat might have done something wrong in the installation process. Also any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
