Oven terminal block to small and broke.

The terminal block on my cheap ass oven was too small and the plastic snapped when o tried to wire in 10 gauge wire. Can I just skip the terminal block and wire it wire to wire? What would be best to do? Just cut off the terminals of the oven wires and then use twist connectors to attach the 10 gauge wires? https://i.imgur.com/DoBJbcQ.jpg
