I have some doors that have shifted and I need to move the strike plates slightly. In some cases, just a very small distance that is very close to the original screw holes.
Can I uses some type of wood filler that would basically "undo" the existing holes and let me start over? Ideally I'd like to fill in the holes and then be able to drill very close or, in some cases almost overlapping the original holes, without worrying about strength or drilling into a substance that won't hold.
How would you recommend I proceed?
