Hello! I am desperate for some advice on this matter.
I am a small prop maker that heavily relies on spray paint for the majority of my projects. Recently, however, I have had a major problem with lifting and wrinkling spray paint, despite having changed little to none of my methods. No matter what I do, at least a small portion of my project always wrinkles. The following are details I believe are important:
• I paint primarily on ABS plastic. • I always use primer then paint; never paint plus primer. • I always use higher quality spray paint. (It's Rustoleum; I don't know if everyone here would consider that high quality, but it's very cost effective.) • I have a special room that is heated that I paint and dry in. • I always wait 5 days between coats. •It is currently rainy and in the mid 40s where I live; I'm not sure what this impacts.
I am genuinely desperate for help. My business relies on nice coats of paint, and I genuinely don't know what to do. Thank you all so incredibly much in advance.
