We recently moved into a new place and in the process bought a new dryer. This unit sits on top of a pedestal. The weird thing is that we keep hats and gloves under the dryer in this pedestal but they seem like they are somehow getting wet. The pedastal drawer also smells pretty musty as a result.
There doesn't appear to be a source for the water. The floor around the unit is bone dry. There is a drain on the floor that appears like it hasn't been wet in years.
How is water getting inside a metal box and what can I do to prevent this from repeating?
