I need to put a piano keyboard on a set of drawer slides and it has to slide out from the back of the desk it is mounted on. The closed length needs to be 12" and the travel length needs to be 27" in order to keep the keyboard from hitting the person knees if he lowers the desk. The keyboard is about 30-40 lbs. I can't find any drawer slides that can do this, has anybody seen something like this or has an alternative? I thought about using linear bearings but I realized I really need something telescoping. See attached for a photo of the concept. It's basically a sit stand desk that will have a keyboard under it. I don't like the ones on the market because they don't slide all the way to the back and get in the way of your knees. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
