Hey guys,
Currently half-way through a project to create a large display for some of my large collectibles.
I'm currently looking to drill out a rectangular slot to feed an LED light-strip through in order to illuminate each of the sections within the display.
I'd be drilling through about 1 1/2 inches of MDF. The size of the slot needs to be 1.5cm x 0.5cm. At the moment I'm thinking of drilling two holes with a 0.5cm drillbit on either end of where I'd like the rectangular hole to be, and then drill a third hole in the middle, then proceed to file down any rough edges.
Not sure if this is the best way to go about it, however. Never done a lick of DIY in my life so I figured I'd ask here before I put the drillbit to work!
