Long story short my current home has a detached garage with a 15A breaker located in the main panel (basement). I work in the EV field and recently purchased a plug-in hybrid which gave me an excuse to finally install an EVSE (charger) in the garage.
With that being said, here's my current plan based on my research of other examples and referencing the NEC. I am asking for approval from complete strangers on the internet so there's no way this could go poorly...
Here's the plan:
-2-pole 60A breaker added to main panel
-6/3 UF-B exiting panel through brick into Type-LB and down 1" conduit (is 1" enough for 6/3 with ground??)
-24" trench dug about 50' to garage
-UF-B into garage and into MLO panel (less than 6 circuits)
-NM-B to all downstream circuits from the panel (50A breaker for 40A EV charger and additional 15A breaker for rest of garage outlets
Open to all critiques/suggestions.
