Use other OEM's motor coupler for my washer

I have a 9 year old Samsung washer that has a broken motor coupler. Samsung discontinued the motor + motor coupler so i have no way of replacing it. Can I buy one for kenmore/whirlpool and try to use it? i wonder how a repair shop would go about fixing it.
