Bottom Line: My garage door opener 1) closes too much (it wants to go too far) and 2) fails to reverse when it hits resistance.
I’ve screwed with the chain and the down adjustment screws, “minning” out the latter clockwise (against the down arrow) and resetting the former right against the opener. I’ve also “minned” our the down force. Nada.
No matter what I do, the brave little shuttle slowly kamikazes into the latch connecting the rail to the wall. It jams up the chain and track; I reset everything, tinker, and try again.
Any experience with this issue? Thanks!
