This might sound like a ludicrous question, but thought it's worth asking.
Bought 10 G4-style LED bulbs to replace some older halogens. I did my best to verify measurements beforehand, but still ended up a couple mm short.
First pic are the two bulbs; new LED on the right. The pins/prongs of both bulbs are actually the same length despite the pic (angle).
Second pic is LED installed, & decorative cap put on. You can see the gap between deco cap & base I'm trying to correct.
Third pic is LED installed with the decorative cap left off. You can see a gap/pins between the bulb, itself, & ceramic base.
My question is: can I snip a millimeter or two from each pin on the LED bulbs to allow the decorative cap to sit properly?
