I have a garage door with a torsion spring that is attached to a belt drive garage door opener. Today the garage door suddenly fell down. The belt drive still operates but it doesn't move the garage door at all. Messing around with the manual release cable doesn't do anything either.
Everything is less than 5 years old. The spring doesn't appear damaged in any way. I'm able to lift the garage door by hand but it won't stay up at all. Problem with the spring?
