Crack running between foundation and cement patio

Hi, everybody. I have a crack that runs between my foundation and the backyard cement patio and stairs that I'd like to fix before the snow falls here in the Upper Midwest. How do I do it? I thinking right now that I clean out the crack with a wire brush, vacuum up debris, put in backer rod, pour in Sikaflex, and pray. Does that sound right to you veterans of this stuff? Also, I'm not sure how to handle the vertical sides of the steps (worried the Sikaflex will flow downward). Any help is appreciated!!! Processing img 0psvnqavh8o31...
