Can anyone tell me about this light fitting?

I picked up a whole bunch of these hanging lighting fixtures for free, I was going to wire them up to screw into existing sockets or turn them into lamps (or one giant chandelier).

I've never seen this kind of bulb socket before and I should try to get a clue about what the electrics in it need.

I figure the two on their own are for power and the molex connector is for controlling it, but I'm prepared to be wrong.
