In my home I have a gas furnace and AC unit.
A foot above my furnace the low voltage going to the old thermostat is spliced. This is what the splice looks like. Its throwing me off that in the splice the colors don't match up. I haven't turned off the furnace disconnect to look inside the furnace yet because it has been extremely cold.
The old thermostat is a Mercury tube analog dial style one.
If I take the panel off of the furnace and trace the low voltage will the termination points have symbols that match a compatible thermostat? I'm hoping to install an Ecobee thermostat.
