Hi DIY reddit! I need some help. I'm trying to put up these brackets for a curtain rod but I've run into a problem- the screws are very difficult to get into the wall. They work fine up until about half of the screw is in, then it doesn't want to go in anymore. I managed to get one in all the way but it was incredibly difficult. I now have 2 others that are about 3/4 of the way in but won't budge. I'm using a cordless drill to do it. I've drilled a pilot hole (made sure it was just as long, if not longer than the screws length but not wider than the screws diameter) but it doesn't seem to help. I'm using the 4 screws that came with the curtain rod kit. This is also an apartment complex so I'm not sure how it was made (and yes we are allowed to drill into the walls here).
Sorry I'm not very good at these things so ignore me if I'm not using the right terms. Anyways, thanks for your help in advanced!
