I'm fairly new to reddit and unsure if this is the best place to post my question. If there is another place to post that would be better, I would really appreciate a point in the right direction :)
So here's the situation:
I just moved into a new flat (UK, I'm American) and I really like it, but the downside is there's no storage of any kind. There's literally one cupboard and 4 drawers in the kitchen and one small cupboard in the bathroom. That's it, no shelves or closets or hooks on the walls or anything. That's fine, I knew that when I moved in, and I have ideas for a lot of things... but I'm struggling to come up with a good way to dry clothes. I do not currently have a tumble dryer and cannot afford one any time soon. I've been using an airing rack but the clothes are taking forever to dry. In short, I need more drying space but don't really have space to store another airing rack. What I would ideally like to do is figure out a way to put a retractable clothes line in the bathroom. But the struggle is that I'm renting and not supposed to put holes in the walls. Plus, it's a wet room and the whole bathroom has tiles so I would be uncomfortable drilling into them even if I wanted to. Does anyone have any ideas? Would double sided tape be strong enough to hold up a retractable clothes line? If I super glue the body of the retractable clothes line to the tile is there a way to remove it when I eventually move out? I've signed a one year lease so I'll be here at least that long.
I'll add a link to the type of clothes line I'm thinking of so it's clear what I'm talking about. I'd really appreciate any input; for ways to dry clothes faster without a tumble dryer, for ways to mount a retractable clothes line without putting holes in the walls, for other space saving ways to dry lots of clothes at once, etc. Thanks in advance! :)
