Mounting a tv on the wall with only one side supported by studs. What are my options?

I have a 42 inch tv I’m trying to mount. My issue is that the studs on this wall are 24 inches apart so the right side of the mount will have a lag bolt on top and bottom. I’m not sure what the best/safest option is for the left side though. Thanks!
