3M Command Strips: we've been using these for years with few problems. Suddenly, within the last couple months five pieces of artwork have fallen off of our walls--artwork that has been hanging sturdy for years already. Trying to figure out why this is happening out of nowhere.

These artworks were hung at different times, so it's not like they've been exposed to the same level of wear and all reaching that magical falling point at the same time. I don't know if it's heat, but this year hasn't felt particularly hot. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that so many have fallen within such a short period of time, and also from all over the house. The latest one to have fallen down was in a room which is air conditioned most of the time. And for the hell of it: three were hung on regular, painted walls, one was hung on the side of a kitchen cabinet, and one was hung on a painted wooden door.

Any insight is appreciated.
