Hey, guys, relative newcomer to the world of DIY and woodworking so my question is extremely basic. Today I set 4x4s in the ground that will eventually become my son's fort. I thought I had planned properly, used the pythagorean theorem to calculate the distance between the cross beams and then went to digging. Much to my disappointment I still found that one post was off by a few inches when all was said and done. What methods do you guys use to ensure square?
