adhering cut mylar letters to coroplast to make an overpass light panel

How easy or recommended would it be to do either of the following:

• getting adhesive mylar letters for coroplast?
• drilling holes in adhered mylar on coroplast about ¼" / 3 cm to insert Christmas tree lights?
