Did I lay my wire right for my outdoor heaters?

I recently built a home and was going to install outdoor heaters down the road. That down the road is now but I’m concerned I didn’t lay the right kind of wiring. It’s nearly impossible to rerun wire without tearing out drywall.

The heaters have dual heating elements with a duplex switch (to turn on one and/or both elements.

I laid 10/2 wire coming from the main panel, then 10/2 coming from the switch to the heater.

Here is a link to a video of how it should be hooked up.

The video shows 1 hot wire going to the duplex switch and then 2 separate wires going to each element. The other hot line is supposed to be wired directly to one of the elements and stay hot all the time.

Problem is - I only have 10/2 coming from the switch and I think I need 10/3. 2 for the switched elements and 1 for the constant hot.

Any suggestion on how I could fix this at this point? Is it possible with 10/2 only?
