I’m looking for just “Milanese mesh”, not a watch band. Where might I look?

I’m working on a project where I want to use “Milanese mesh”, which is commonly used for watch bands for example.

The catch is - I don’t want the material as a watch band. I’m just looking to buy a strip of the material itself - no buckles, claps, etc. I imagine that every person selling Milanese mesh watch bands isn’t producing the mesh themselves and is buying it wholesale from somewhere, but I can’t for the life of me figure out where. Googling hasn’t turned anything up, and for the most part the results seem to be mainly people selling watch bands.

Does anyone have any experience on where I might want to look for something like this?
