Curious in general, but my current application is painting some car parts for rust prevention.
Was thinking I could just get something like this and dip parts directly in the bucket: https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/professional/high-performance-protective-enamel
One potential concern is contaminating the rest of the paint, but everything will be going through an ultrasonic cleaner before painting.
Another concern is thickness of the coat. It seems like this could result in too thick a coat that might not dry properly. Just guessing there though. Could at least partially mitigate this by heating the part and bucket up to 90F or so before dipping.
Any thoughts?
