[picture of outlet with bit of drywall missing](B172174A-E054-4232-A4ED-7D6BE03E7155.jpeg)
So my outlet was loose and finally came out with one good pull of a plug. I thought it just needed a new box so I bought one and tried to install but it keeps pushing out. It’s like the wires are too long and stiff. I’m not really handy at all, but my thinking is that the bit of missing drywall on the lower part is keeping the box from staying in.
I just found out about spacers and those bendable ones that I can use to hold the box in. I want to go and get those to try but should I try to fix the drywall as well? Is it necessary. And if so, how do I do this? Must I buy a small piece of dry wall and fit it in there?
Thanks
