So, I'm trying to build a pipe bookshelf Should be simple enough. I'm using 1 inch pipe. I have to drill a hole through 2'' wood. I use a 1 1/4'' drill bit but then the pipe doesn't go through. Then I try a 1 3/8'' drill bit, and then the hole is too big. I don't know what to do. I want a tight fit around my pipe so the bookcase isn't wobbly.
I'm even using a mallet to try to put the pipe through the 1 1/4 inch hole, but it won't go through.
Any ideas?
