Powering a shed with a portable generator?

I built a 12x20 shed and wired it with two seperate 12/3 lines just in case I wanted to run power to it down the road. Anyhow I got thinking that I could possibly power it with my portable generator but am not sure what the best way to go about doing that would be.

The first line powers 5 outlet boxes with a battery charger hooked up, an air compressor, shop vac, and possibly a table saw or miter saw depending on what I am using. The air compressor, shop vac and table saw would not be running at the same time.

The second line powers a ceiling fan with light, 5 LED workshop lights and possibly an air purifier.

The generator I have is this below

I am wondering if it is best to power the shed by running the lines to a transfer box like the one below and using the generators 120 30 amp option to power it

or I theoretically could power it by just installing 2 120 volt inlets below and running a cord from the generator to each inlet.

Any advice on which route I should take?
